Artist Statement
My collages are an amalgam of found, purchased, and reused papers. Rich pattern, faded color, and meticulously drawn collaged fragments converge to convey common social activity and objects. Slanted with a dark subtext, the works are obsessive, as much about material as they are about human experience. The successful works resonate when their intended clumsiness is counterbalanced with an idiosyncratic formal logic.
