The hidden nail hammered into the wall to hang a painting is the starting point of a conversation in which I use the properties and boundaries of a painting to delve into the themes of contemporary life.

I employ paint as a literal barrier, akin to a skin, which allows me to explore the physicality of a painting. The barrier interacts with the viewer to provide a caution and a challenge, creating a vision for the weaving of dialogues. Metaphor and reality contribute to these dialogues concerning consumerism, memory, recycling, staging/theater, animalism, the still-life genre, and the rescue of today’s issues. For me, the dialogue emerges in the process of painting, and I leave it unfinished for the audience to continue.
