Artist Statement
Christian Morin is based in Los Angeles and works in painting,
graphics, and performance. He formerly worked as a graphic
designer and art director at Girl Skateboards and as an artist
assistant for Alex Israel. He also co-hosts an independent radio
show on KCHUNG called Prodigal Sons.
Once a touring musician, Christian now combines painting,
graphics, and performance with an interest in the modernist
avant-garde and the likes of Kurt Schwitters and Oskar
Schlemmer. His most recent work, The Great American Race,
consists of a book, film, and installation, and explores problematic
issues of race, religion, and society’s complicity within these
systems.
