Artist Statement
I love the physical material of paint, and believe in its capacity to
tease out the substance of my life’s experience as it is laid down
on the ground—making the quality of my understanding of the
world, if not its exact contents, accessible to others.
The willingness to let that happen—to let the work find new
meaning with each encounter—is to me the crux of art itself. All
else is illustration.
