Artist Statement
I like to undermine the logic of geometric stability. Though my compositions are taut and angular, their rigor is subverted by the brightly colored palette and by humorous quirks. My influences are broad and diverse, and include comics, advertising, and early twentieth-century abstraction. I like abstraction that reflects the personal and shows the vulnerability and uncertainty that exists in our lives.
