As I write this, it brings tears to my eyes and I’m not sure why. I think it’s partly out of happiness, and also just the huge amount of emotion that I feel. From your note, I can tell that I have not shown you how much it means to me to have a friend like you. Friend seems like such a mild word. Please try to never doubt me . . . Believe in me first . . . We have to just get all the crap out of the way and talk “straight” from our feelings.
