I am interested in the spaces that technology is creating in our lives. It is changing us as much as we change it. It is spinning out of control in intriguing ways and this fascinates me. In some of my works, I build microprocessors and digital photo frames into my paintings, or I create digital videos, web pages or computer programs. My work seeks to capture these visual spaces and compels you to venture into the paintings, but once there, it is lonely and a bit disorienting, which is how I feel when confronted with these new technological changes appearing around us. It is at once attractive and exciting, but simultaneously melancholic and mysterious.
