Artist Statement
Both making and viewing the paintings can at times seem like navigating a maze. In them I can see my interest in the visual language of science fiction, and figures such as Lebbeus Woods, Syd Mead, and James Cameron. I also see symbolic animals and turbulent romantic landscapes. The common thread in all of this is movement through, and bridges between, spaces and phenomena, known and unknown.
