Artist Statement
I think essentially everybody wants to connect in some way with the people in their lives. The ways we go about making this happen, or with whom, depends on a shared personal experience with things and or situations past. For instance if there is somebody I barely know and we’re uncomfortably talking about something not that interesting and I mention some country singer or something and that other person says they love that guy then the opportunity for a better connection presents itself. With this, one can then start the transfer of ideas. That is what my work is trying to tap in to. The opportunity for communication and ideas is what I want to provide a conduit for. Belief systems, relationships, style and fashion, etc…all those presentations of ideas of what might work that we choose to hold on to and those we let go. That’s what I want to help facilitate and or add to.
