Artist Statement
I make paintings, drawings, sculpture, and video about wildlife
and wild environments. I simulate, mirror, observe, and abstract
the natural world. I draw inspiration from biology, anthropology,
and mythology. My work bounces between the abstract and the
illustrative, describing different levels of our collective dialogue
with nature. I use pencils, paper, ink, paint, cardboard, wood, and
many other accessible materials to bring my work to life.
