Artist Statement
I investigate ways to document language through the use of unique symbols within systems. I like to place these symbols within an imaginary context that relates to the viewer and references the environment in which the language was heard. My goal is to create paintings and installations that are operatic and developed from the ambient sounds that each of us hears everyday in conjunction with the sounds of human language.
