Artist Statement

Baptiste is an acclaimed artist specializing in painting, drawing, mural, and metal sculpture installation whose artwork is displayed locally, nationally, and globally. His passion, creativity, and social compass resonate throughout his artistic works.

Baptiste is of Haitian ancestry and this rich heritage attributes to his impeccable ability to infuse culture and art. A self-taught visual artist, the core of his artistic prowess comes from his belief that art should teach, heal, and inspire. Baptiste is influenced by Surrealism and the Mannerism movement, both styles of which can be seen throughout his work.

By creating pieces that explore the unsung stories and harsh realities of subjects and populations under oppression, Baptiste finds purpose in giving voice to the voiceless in this ever-evolving generation.
