My work represents the collected memories of moments that we often take for granted. Existing in a limbo between natural and artificial, action and frozen, the images depicted in these paintings are both universal and personal. When we think of a wave, sunset, or cloud, rarely do we conjure a detailed reference. Rather, our memories are approximations of what those forms looked like to us. This notion of multiple realities informs images that are both past and present while simultaneously being neither.
