Artist Statement
The work creates a dialogue with contemporary society and its
relationship to early cultures. Ubiquitous and urbane qualities
of the everyday are processed through superstition to develop
dramas of unknown circumstance. A visual language of symbols
and figures provides beacons of sincerity within the living
condition. There is a direct and immediate relationship with
process, drawn from a simplified handling of reality.
