I would like to bring a sense of magic to painting. Figurative vignettes play in a land as charming as it is foreboding. Intimate memories, often pulled from my rural upbringing, are enlivened with elements of color field painting, folk art, and symbolism. Meditations on the strange innocence of life, love, longing, and romance within the turbulence of a mysterious world. Abstraction and landscape merge.
