Artist Statement
My paintings are based on observations of the Hudson River. Water and reflections are translated into intercepting bands of color. The architecture of the Indian Point Nuclear Plant and barges traveling the river are an integral part of these images. Each painting is specific to time and season.
The works are painted with pure pigments and urethane on flexible panels made of laminated nylon. This method and product is unique and has been used since 1998 by Ursula Schneider.
