Artist Statement
My paintings are a physical manifestation of internal experience. My process is one in which many layers or materials are built up, and occasionally taken away, until the surface matches the experience. The process is intuitive. I vary the materials I use because something specific is needed to convey a feeling. I often find the most fluidity and truth in my work happens at a subconscious level.
